I had the privilege of being involved in many aspects of “T & J’s” wedding day. I did the bride’s and the flower girl’s hair, the floral design, set up design and photography. They had an intimate “Roman” themed ceremony and reception at the bride’s sister’s house. They made sure their guests had fun by including a putting green, photo booth with costumes and karaoke. I love my job!
For the poolside ceremony the bride wore a Grecian inspired dress.
The bride carried a simply elegant bouquet of calla lilies.
We went mostly with greenery including fresh rosemary, Italian ruskus and seeded eucalyptus with a few stock in the urn arrangement.
The rosemary and eucalyptus made for a pleasingly fragrant boutonniere.
This image of “J” with his daughter a.k.a. flower girl is one of my favorites. To the right “J & T” share their first dance as husband and wife.
After I finished the flower girl’s hair I wove in a length of ivy which was used in abundance throughout the decor. It was wrapped around pillars, at the base of the cake and woven in between cylinder vases filled with water and floating candles that served as centerpieces.
The 3 tiered Italian wedding cake accented with frosted fruit was placed on a glass table top set on white pillars wrapped in ivy. It tasted as good as it looked. Of course, I ate some. That is a huge perk of my job!
Throughout the night guests entertained themselves in the photo booth. Everyone had a blast dressing up in Greek/Roman themed costumes and posing with the props…especially after a few glasses of wine.
